The TEIC Programme is open to native English speakers from any country. If you are not a native English speaker, but can speak English fluently, you can also apply.
TEIC is a small, friendly and non-commercial programme, offering a more personal travel experience. We have been sending graduates to China for over 15 years and are based in the UK.
TEIC is run in conjunction with The China Education Association for International Exchange (CEAIE) www.ceaie.edu.cn in Beijing and the International Exchange Centre in Hunan Province. Professor Phil Thomas is the independent UK recruitment specialist and a retired university professor.
Our 10 month placements start every February, August, September and October. There is a four/five week paid holiday for the Chinese New Year, in January/February. This is when the teachers go travelling within China or outside the country. The Spring semester, with a mid-semester break of a week, finishes at the end of June. There are also a number of public state holidays. Many teachers delay their return to the UK in order to enjoy a further period of travel and others stay to teach a second year or start careers in China.
